Subject: Navratri Utsav akshay tritiya on 27-04-09 what to do?

Dear Sadhaks

 

On 27th april, 2009 is "Akshya Tritiya". It is a very holy day as on this day mantra jaap, tapa (upvas etc), and especially charity is akhsya ie never ends in any life any birth.

 

Best charity daan is to a brahmin in morning:- daan can have following items,

1) kalash filled with water.

2) hand pankha (Fan)

3) chappal, sleepers joota (not made of leather) in old times khadau was givan as daan.

4) chhata (umbrella)

5) gana (sugarcane)

6) sugar, gud, dahi, rice, milk, sweets of milk.

6) watermelon, therbuz, kharbuza.

7) ladoos.

It is said that by giving such daana one enjoys swarga, and many spiritual, material benefits.

 

Cow feeding is also a punya on this day, and feeding poor persons.

 

It is said that if any astrological problem in match making can be solved to a great extent by marriying on this day.
