Dear all

Hari Om.
Wishing you all a Very Happy and eventful Year Ahead.

Yesterday I got a call from Prof Nishit Tarafdar, with whom
I have been in touch since the last Two Years.
Prof Tarafdar is the retired Principal Of Patna Engineering college.
Professor Sahib has done a wonderful thing for the Saadhaks.A great
follower of Sankara Vedanta and ardent devotee of Srimad Bhagavad Gita,
he sat at the feet of Dandi Sw Bhgavathanda Ji, who had Translated
Eight commentaries on Bhashyakar's Commentary on Srimad  Bhagavad
Gita into Hindi. Professor Sahib not only Published the same but also Created
Gita Mandali all across erstwhile  Uttar Pradesh,Patna and Delhi and Mumbai.
Gita Mandali had been very active atleast across U.P. and infact annually would
meet at Dhampur , Uttarakhand , where a has been built a Temple for Swamiji till
the turn of the century.Presently renovation is On tehre.
Gita Manjush , as the Volume is titled is a great boon for the SAdhaks as well as
academicians. The commentaries include Sw Sankarananda Ji, Sw Madhusudana
Saraswati and Gloss by Sw Anandagiri Ji.

It is a priceless gift to the Mankind and Sanatana  dharma.

Professor Tarafdar is an octogenarian and is so very active. He would without fail call atleast
once a fortnight , call on Guru Poornima and the Gita Jayanti Day.He had also
been urging me to visit him , but unfortunately , I had failed to do so despite
best intentions.
As usual I told him that I would certainly visit him as soon as the present
semester got over. He seemed a little restless and said "Oh , that's far off. I
suggest you have a word with my Physician Dr Hemen Roy immediately".
I got awfully worried and Immediately called Dr Roy.

Dr Roy assured me that Professor sahib's health was " indeed fine. I guess he
has been waiting to see you ASAP". I am touched . Lets all pray for good health
and Long Life to Prof Tarafdar.

Hari Om
