We had discussed that everyone has to endure the Prarabhdha Karma . In this Case Vikram and his parents had to endure the Mental torture as well as other setbacks on account of his arrest and the subsequent developments and Vikram might have to complete the sentence as well and face all the consequences thereof .
Now , the Mental Pain will remain even after he is released after completion of the sentence. The issue will keep coming back to him and haunt him for the rest of his life , be he an ordinary mortal.
He would have a lot of options at that time ......
He may decide to fang his hatred for the system , or even for that country Or ... he may decide to come back to his own native and fume in the memory of the unfortunate happening .
The incident is likely to have a strong impact on him and his action and behaviour even after years – in fact the suffering may actually increase - on account of repeated dwelling of the mind on that incident , on account of disruption of his academics and career prospects and even life per se for that matter - since this happening is bound to affect every aspect of his life for years to come
If he were of lower tendencies or has been pushed to lower order on account of the subsequent loss that he has suffered , he may think (or imagine ) that he takes on the system legally or take on the Officer who framed him and confront him .This would of course would not only be a wrong choice ( Preyas Marg ) but also surely a damaging one to Vikram himself .
How can this suffering ( which is again a personal suffering and will remain so for long years) , be transfered on to Samashti is the question. Such a transfer will change the nomenclature to Universal problem / issue and mitigate the personal aspect.
The answer to this question may answer your original question. !!
Now , Vikram can stay back in the US or come back to India ( Better he stays back ) begin life all over again , pursue academics , get good grades followed by a good career .
This choice of staying back and pursuing a career is the beginning of shifting the problem on to the Samashti .
A lot will depend on his conviction to fight the ills of the system ( by virtue of this shift in focus the nomencalture becomes Samashti oriented)
He may decide to work as a Journalist and expose the ills , he may pursue Law and fight the system as a legal professional , helping the others who may become the victim at a later date , or he can make a lot of money as a any professional and set up a NGO and help other victims.
His suffering become diluted the moment he makes a resolution to the above affect , and in fact as he progresses he will emerge stronger than ever.
Thus one's personal woes are transformed into success and strengths by
de-individualising the issue . Remove the ‘I’ and ‘My problem’ thought and look at that as a social evil. You will be reinvigorated and will be able to fight the evil with renewed strength .
