Netscape in Solaris == Ugly

Why does Netscape flash so horribly when using the Solaris machines in
Baird? Scrolling through a long document is an ugly affair.
It could trigger epileptic seizures in some people resulting in a
lawsuit.

Also, what possessed AOL/Netscape to download the entire page whenever
resizing it's window? Looks like something written by a third grader
coding a scribble app ... very sad. Can you say "double-buffering"?

Please tell me there's some Unix magic to stop this behavior ...
