Dear Team,

I have been trying to migration TFS Dev12 Update 4 to Azure DevOps 2019 in on-prem.
To do this, i am trying to take backup using TFS admin console. But un-fortunately, it is not allowing us to take backup. This is below following error.

Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Server.DatabaseSchemaException: TF400686: The requested schema property TFS_SCHEMA_VERSION did not match the expected value. The server requires the Microsoft Team Foundation Server Dev12 Update 5 schema but the database currently implements Microsoft Team Foundation Server Dev12 Update 4.

Is there any method we can use to do migration by using MSSQL level backup and import this into another SQL server and build Azure DevOps 2019 using existing the database connection by using newly created Database server with TFS 2012 Update 4 DB.

Regards,

RaviS

This is an off topic question for a forum dealing with the git-tfs (http://github.com/git-tfs/git-tfs) tool.
You should adress this to e.g. the Microsoft support forum.

Peter
