Git Gui jumps straight to Gui with no option to create/clone/open

Help.  I've got a user I'm trying to help.  They've installed the latest Git for Windows, picked all the defaults.  When they try to run the Git Gui, it doesn't give the 'Create/Clone/Open dialog box...  It just jumps to the Git Gui window...  What have we done wrong?

Hi Kirby,

Did you start `git gui` in a Git worktree? That would explain it.

If you run Git GUI from the Start Menu, it *should* open that dialog box.

Or if you run `git gui` from Git CMD outside any Git worktree, it should
also open that dialog box.
