Hi folks. I have cross posted this question here on stack-overflow.

I have updated/upgraded my installation of git-for-windows to git version 2.19.1.windows.1 using the command line method defined here.

The original install folder was directly in

C:\Users\MY_UNAME

I would like to uninstall it (and remove all of its associated files) from there.

Then re-install it into a sub-folder of

C:\Users\MY_UNAME

say

C:\Users\MY_UNAME\git_4win

.

How can I accomplish this?

Thanks in advance,

Love and peace,

Joe

There is an unistall exe at the top level of the program directory.
Something like C:\Program Files\Git\unins001.exe If you can locate that
file in your installation it should do a reasonably clean removal.

Do you refer to the HOME directory the bash terminal starts in? or maybe
the location of one of the repositories? (just in case the wording of
the question and my answer are at cross purposes.
