I am a programmer who is visually impaired. I use screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, or Windows Narrator to help me code. When I give commands like "git commit" or any other commands, the screen reader doesn't read anything. It's hard for me to understand how many files are selected or to be uploaded. Can you please improve accessibility for visually impaired users? Currently, I use Github Desktop for managing my code and VS Code for coding. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I suspect that the issue is MinTTY (the default terminal window used by
Git Bash), which side-steps the Windows Console, and the screenreaders
have no idea what to do with MinTTY.

Could you share how you use the Git CLI? From Git Bash? From PowerShell?

Ciao,
Johannes
