Hi

Is there a table or document somewhere that shows which version GIT LFS ships with which version of GIT for Windows (now that it is bundled) ?

I am trying to track down the highest GIT version containing LFS version 2.5  and 2.4.2   (LFS version 2.5 breaks our server (Bitbucket 5.3)

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim,
https://github.com/git-for-windows/build-extra/tree/master/versions is
what you want. Just clone the repositry and grep away.

Ciao,
Johannes

Tim,
Bitbucket Server developer here. I can't speak for the Git for Windows
to Git LFS mappings, but re: "LFS version 2.5 breaks our server", have
you seen https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-11047? That issue has
a hotfix plugin attached which you can install on your instance so Git
LFS 2.5.0+ clients will be able to connect without issue.

Best regards,
Bryan Turner

2. grep lfs package-versions*.txt | sed 's/\.txt\:/\t/' | sed

Hi Tim
Top posting is where you give the answer first, and then leave the
question below (the Outlook way ;-)

Bottom posting and in-line reply, are where you leave the context lines
in place and provide the response after. This is much better for email
lists where folks are often reading the post some time later.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style has various discussions.

Philip

In addition to that, I would challenge you to consider a friendlier tone.
After all, you want something from other people...

And yes, your suspicion that I suggested to clone the entirety of Git for
Windows' source code was totally off the mark, as Matheus so aptly pointed
out.

You will find that you get a ton of help on this here list, based on a ton
of experience, if you ask nicely.

Ciao,
Johannes

Lesson learned, thank you.
