Let's suppose I have a 64bit Windows, and that none of the files in my Git repository are so large that they require a 64bit version of Git (well less than 2G).  What are the pros and cons of 32bit vs. 64bit Git installations, assuming that I can use either one.  Is there a reason to prefer one over the other?

I've searched all over but haven't found any comparisons or recommendations.

Cheers!

There is one relatively obscure complication with 32-bit Git for Windows
that makes me recommend 64-bit as soon as you can use it. For details, see
