What makes a Git repo faster/slower on Windows?

Hi,

there are some obvious things you can do to make Git for Windows faster.
E.g. using a SSD, enabling core.fscache, disabling 3rd party Anti Virus with "Live scan/protection", ...

I wonder, are there any less obvious (known) things?
E.g.:
Should it make a difference if I use Win7 or Win10?
Should it make a difference if I use a NTFS volume formatted with Win XP or Win10?
...

I missed the most obvious thing:
I use GfW 2.11.0(3) of course :-)
