Errors of the form: [ child_info_fork::abort: address space needed by ... is already occupied]

I am seeing these messages when attempting to use git difftool or git mergetool (with or without changes to git config to use special tools).

I believe the basic problem is that Cygwin perl is attempting to inject hooks into a running process. My antivirus/malware tools block the attempt at a stack pivot in the perl.exe

Has anyone else seen these types of errors?  Is anyone aware of an edition of git that doesn't function like a virus/malware on 64-bit windows?
