I just installed the latest version of git-cola (1.4.0.2).- kudos! I
have been recommending it to my Mac users as well, but I am having a
few strange problems in Windows.

I (probably mistakenly) did not first uninstall the old version
(1.3.8.12), and I am seeing two puzzling things so far:

1) gitk will not launch when "Visualize..." is selected. Instead
nothing happens; no error, no command output change.

2) When I type "cola" in a Git BASH, I get the old version (1.3.8.12),
which DOES run gitk.

Versions: WinXP SP3, git 1.6.3.2; git-cola 1.4.0.2, python 2.6, PyQt4
4.5.4

Any ideas? I see that there was an earlier issue regarding gitk, but
that seemed to be fixed a while ago.

Cheers - Chas

I'll give this a try later tonight. Deleting everything in
programfiles should be enough to clean out old versions. In any case,
the gitk thing sounds whacky and is probably a simple fix. The next
maintenance release 1.4.0.5 will address it.

Thanks for the report,

This has been fixed.

There were a few minor fixes that I ran into when
prepping the release so it all got rolled into 1.4.0.5.

It should be available on the website by the time you read this.

Hopefully that's the last maintenance release ;-)
New features are always more fun.

Currently planned for the next feature release, v1.4.1:

- drag + drop patches on cola (already available in 'master')
- clone when starting up w/out a repo
(right now the only choice is 'open')
