I've been using git-cola for a while now, but suddenly I'm seeing an unusual problem.  I think it coincided with an upgrade to version 1.8.1; at any rate, that's what I'm running now.

When I run the GUI, I can select which files to commit just fine, but the Commit button is grayed out.  Has anyone encountered this before, or does anyone know what might cause it?

Thanks in advance!

The commit button is disabled by default. Once you fill in the
"Subject" field in the commit message editor then it should become
enabled.

I'd also recommend cloning the repo and running it from the source
tree to see if you're running into an issue that's already been fixed
in "master".

I hope that helps.
cheers,

Ah yes, that was it; I was just misunderstanding how to use the GUI.  Thanks David!
