Git-Cola on GitLab

hi everyone!

Since almost everyone else, i migrated everything i had at GitHub to GitLab, and then closed my GitHub account.

I used to use GitHub with Git-Cola, and now i have no idea how i do the same on GitLab. Where from can we find tutorials and documentation explaining how to do that?

Hi,

GitLab works basically the same way as GitHub so use Git-Cola as usual.

hi, Pavel!

it doesn’t seem so easily, at least for me

when i run Git-Cola, it shows a window with a "select repository" list
- and i can’t find where should i change github to gitlab anywere in
Git-Cola configuration, or at ~/.config/git-cola/ directory , and when
i try to push the committed files, it insists pushing to github
instead of gitlab

where should we replace github to gitlab?

or, in a far worse scenario, what should we do before that?

nevermind, i found out where to change - i just needed to replace
github with gitlab from ./.git/config , and everything worked
perfectly fine! :)

Great. You can change it from Git-Cola: Run Git-Cola - Select your repository - File - Edit Remotes... - Delete remote - Add new remote git repository - set Name and URL of your GitLab repository - Add Remote.
