Hi,
There are aviable OpenSuse repositories of git-cola.

What's the customary way to install it? Is it "sudo yum install
git-cola"? I'm updating the downloads page and I need a command to
paste in there ;-)

Way to install git-cola is:

sudo zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/tools:/scm/VERSION/devel:tools:scm.repo
sudo zypper refresh
sudo zypper install  git-cola

Where VERSION can be:
SLE_11 for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SLE_11_SP1 for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1
openSUSE_11.4 for OpenSuse 11.4
openSUSE_12.1 for OpenSuse 12.1
openSUSE_Factory for OpenSuse Factory

Example for OpenSuse 12.1:
sudo zypper addrepo
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/tools:/scm/openSUSE_12.1/devel:tools:scm.repo
sudo zypper refresh
sudo zypper install  git-cola
