Immediate Need a Sharepoint developer with .Net -
MA
Title :
Sharepoint developer with .Net
Location : Watertown,
MA
Duration : 6-9+ Month contract
REIT uses SharePoint for their
corporate intranets (there are 3). They’re
running MOSS 2007, but plan to
upgrade at least one of their intranets to
2010 sometime this spring. They
have an in-house resource dedicated to
SharePoint administration. That person
handles all of the installing,
patching, backups, maintenance, requests for
new sites, etc.
They also use SharePoint as the UI
framework for most of their custom
application development. They’re looking
for a resource to help with that
kind of work. This person should have
experience writing asp.net web apps,
particularly UI development. A lot of
the work will involve writing user
controls and adding them to web parts.
We’ve been using WSPBuilder for
that, so it would be good for this person to
be familiar with the
WSPBuilder Visual Studio add-in. These apps also usually
involve the
creation of web services and databases, with data access using
LINQ to
SQL,
but from the description below, I don’t think this person
would be doing
much of that. When they say “most of the work at the client
will be admin
work with Sharepoint”, I think they mean site owner type work –
like
creating sites, user groups, document libraries and
content-types.
