As ordinary trains have driver cabs on both ends, they can travel in both directions. But locomotives only have such cabs on their front sides, so they have to reverse unless they are turned 180 degrees using rotary platforms.

One on the site of Shimo-Imaichi Station in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, was moved from Nagatoshi Station in Yamaguchi Prefecture, while the turntable for Kinugawa-Onsen Station, also in Nikko, was originally used at Miyoshi Station in Hiroshima Prefecture.

Many people gather when it is time for a locomotive that has arrived at the station to turn. Upon seeing the train running toward the platform with a whistle while steam shoots out, spectators let out shouts of surprise.

As the space around the bus stop is too narrow for large vehicles to turn, Kan-etsu Transportation Co. buses use the rotary platform to change direction. Use of such turntables for buses is rare in Japan.

The SL Taiju is a steam train service operated by Tobu Railway which runs between Shimo-Imaichi Station and Kinugawa-Onsen Station in the greater Nikko region of Tochigi Prefecture. This is a special sightseeing train that usually runs only on weekends and national holidays. There are 3 daily return services on these days, each of which lasts around 35 minutes.

There are turntables at both Shimo-Imaichi Station and Kinugawa-Onsen Station where you can watch the steam locomotive being rotated for its next journey. The turning of the locomotive always draws big crowds and is fun to watch and photograph. In addition there is a small exhibition room at Shimo-Imaichi Station which has photographs, models and other exhibits related to the history of steam trains on Tobu Railways.

The line is named after the west gate of the Imperial Palace (Hanzōmon), which in turn is named after 16th century samurai Hattori Hanzō, who was important to the founding of the shogunate which built the palace. The Hanzōmon Line's color on maps and station guides is purple, and stations carry the letter "Z" followed by a two-digit number.

If you move up in traffic and then stop at the light and actually ask if you need to go straigt when the majority of the traffic is turning right when the light turns then I have found they are more than willing to give you the time to go ahead and then they will make the turn.

Sure, I'm happy to help troubleshoot some. I think the important thing is to remember that there are 2 kinds of meat temperatures, what I call "steak like" and "braise like". Steak-like will always turn out with medium-rare, medium, well-done, etc., but it'll have the texture of a steak. Braise-like will turn out like a traditional braised dish, more fall-apart, tender, etc.

Thanks for signing up! I look forward to guiding you through the process of discovering sous vide with amazing articles, recipes, and tips and tricks you can use to impress your friends and family by turning out amazing food time and time again!
