I'm a Canadian in Korea. I'm considering doing a photo/video tour of
Korea hence my need for GPS - problem is I don't know anything about
it. In particular, I've been trying to purchase a notebook USB receiver
that will also work with inexpensive English software - but with a
mapping service of Korea. I've looked online but I can't find the
information I'm looking for.
If your laptop's operating system is Windows, then just download
Google Earth:
The Google Earth Plus version ($20) has a GPS interface. But
before you invest the $20, do some testing with the free version
just to make sure:
1) Your connection speed will support the GIS downloads from the
Keyhole server; and
2) The imagery that Google has for your area is adequate for your
purposes.
