Technical Manager
Position overview
Working with a multidisciplinary team of professionals in a dynamic
and global environment, this person will provide technical expertise
and leadership in the development of global location-specific building
level property databases.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for the ownership and technical
leadership managing a team of analysts to develop building-level
property databases using the best, most innovative technical solutions
and processes.
Identify techical solutions for ascertaining quality of data sources
including third-party, client and RMSI developed data.
Optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness of processes for RMSI data
compilation from photo interpretation and remote sensing.
Evaluate relevant research opportunities for data sourcing, remote
sensing, and technical solutions ensuring that the most relevant up-to-
date information and sources are being used.
Establishes and implements short- and long-range team goals,
objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates
operational effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement.
The candidate will be responsible for client communication, engagement
and delivering as per the agreed time frames.
Skills
In-deprth understanding of construction industry, GIS based software,
remote sensing and photo interpretation required
Knowledge of construction practices (preferably US environment)
Solid understanding of impact of physical characteristics and
attributes on vulnerbility of buildings to catastrophic perils.
Exposure and understanding of catastrophic modeling, particularly
hurricane and earthquake perils. He/
Understanding of RiskLink Models and their use by re/insurance
industry desirable
Domain knowledge for property & casualty insurance desirable
The person must be a self-starter, with strong analytical and
documentation skill.
Ability to handle large database in SQL Server is required.
Knowledge about campuses and US addressing structure and geography
would be an added advantage
Ability to handle responsibility successfully through excellent
interpersonal skills
candidate must be goal oriented, intelligent and possess management
ability to schedule and control workflow with high awareness of the
company's business, market and real estate industry.
Knowledge of statistical and other analytical tools will be an
advantage.
The person must have ability to do good quality control of written
standards.
Team lead quality with adequate communication skills (written &
verbal) is required.
Demonstrate initiative, leadership, responsiveness and creativity
Experience
5 - 6 years of experience in technical project execution with exposure
in construction practices.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech/ M.Tech (Civil/Construction/Structural) from reputed
institute with consistently good academic record.
