to GISciConcepts
Over the year's GIScience has made important contributions to the
sciences. Still, we find questions continue to surface about concepts:
How do scale and resolution influence Tobler's First Law and the study
of spatial relations? How do choices of representations in GIS
software impact analysis? Can we identify further scientific laws of
GIScience? These are just some questions--there are many others.
What are your questions and what are your ideas about concepts? This
is an open discussion forum to further the GIScience engagement with
scientific concepts in advance and following on the 2012 Tobler
Lecture event, Are there fundamental concepts in GIScience? with
Nicholas Chrisman and Andrew Frank.
Looking forward to the discussions,
Francis Harvey
