GIS/SIG Board of Director Opportunities for 2025-2028

The GIS/SIG Board of Directors will have several open positions available this year for a 3-year term beginning in May 2025.
These are voluntary positions. Our board of 13 members typically meets on the third Wednesday of every month, from 12 to 1, sometimes by Zoom, sometimes at various office locations in and around Monroe County. As a board member, you are expected to attend most meetings and the annual conference. The primary duties of a board member include planning our annual conference and quarterly programs.
Contributing your time to GIS/SIG is a great way to earn GISP points and network with your GIS peers.
If you wish to be considered by our nomination committee for placement on the election ballot at our annual conference, please submit a cover letter, brief bio for the ballot, and resume no later than Friday, March 29, 2025, at 5 p.m. If you miss this deadline and would still like to run for the board, you will need to be floor-nominated at the annual conference on April 8th when the ballots are cast.
