Join GIS/SIG for a free GIS Day Event on November 19th at RIT in the College of Science Gosnell Hall Atrium/Lobby from 5:30-8 pm.
We will have guest speaker presentations, including EagleView’s Cody Cottrell speaking about the company’s Disaster Response Program and the role Geomatics plays in it, and RIT’s Brian Tomaszewski speaking about his and other RIT students’ work mapping and quantifying the natural disaster resilience of displaced people in Rwanda. We will also talk about the importance of crisis mapping and host a mapathon using OSM technology.
