With our Catholic circle being as tight knit as it is, I know that several of you have heard about the family that lost their 16 month-old little boy in a drowning accident this weekend. This family is a member of my parish, Saint William's in Round Rock, and along with being from France, they are faithful, humble and beloved by all in our community. Little Aloys was the youngest of 6.
My rosary group here is putting together some things for the family including a spiritual bouquet and a grieving basket. As I was praying tonight, it struck me to reach out to a wider audience that might like to help.
If you feel compelled, ways you can contribute:
1. Add something to the spiritual bouquet. A novena, a week of chaplets of divine mercy, a family rosary - any prayers at all. Let me know what/how you'll be praying for them in the upcoming weeks and months and we will add that to the spiritual bouquet so they can know exactly how many people are lifting them up in prayer. This is what they need the most!
2. Add to the grieving baskets we'll be taking to the family full of comforting things like prayer books, tissues, tea, journals, etc. We'll be giving a separate one to the kids, who range in ages from 5-13, with age appropriate books on loss, toys, games, crafts, and stuffed animals. If you'd like to contribute financially, you can send money to me via paypal (
emily....@gmail.com) and know that it will be used to send gifts of comfort straight into their home. I'll be shopping for their 6th and 7th grade boys later on this week.
Thank you for your consideration, and please pray for the Baudon de Mony family.
Emily
