Hello everyone,

I hope your first day of virtual school was a success!

We've done tons of work to qualify for the Silver Award, and now it's time to report all of our efforts to Council!

In order to do this, I need your help! I can fill out the entire application and submit it on behalf of the troop, but first, we are required to have each girl who has worked on the project reflect upon their experiences and share a 'lil write up in the report (see questions in green font).

PARTICIPANTS:
Brooke Clarke
Cassidy Miller
Delaney Braun
Jayde Dordel
Savannah Miller
Sophia DeVos

NEXT STEPS:
Our application for the Silver Award will detail two of our completed projects:

1. Bird feeder (Cassidy/Jade)
2. Bird boxes (entire troop)

REFRESH YOUR MEMORY -- IF NEEDED
I've attached a PP to help refresh your memory of our previous work. If you have any questions, please let me know.

QUESTIONS EACH GIRL SHOULD ANSWER:
Basically, we just need a few sentences from each girl in response to the questions below.

You can send me your answers in an e-mail -or- google doc no later than 7 pm on Sunday, September 6th. Thank you!!!!

1. Describe your Silver Award Take Action project and why you selected it.

2. What issue(s) did your project address (what problem did it work to solve)? Who did it benefit?

3. Explain your specific leadership role(s) during the project.

4. Outline your strengths, talents, and skills that you put into action.

5. Describe one challenge you faced during the project and how you overcame it.

6. How will your project continue after you have finished working on the project?

Thanks and take care,

Liz

P.S. QR CODE SIGNS UPDATE

The signs are amazing and the webpages are coming together with the girls’ content: https://www.mcfarland.k12.wi.us/families/Forest.cfm

The graphic designer is adding a 2nd round of updates this week, and then we can send them off to the printer in the next week. Sayer Larson, at the village, said they may be limited in time and machinery to help us with the poles, so Shawn has some ideas on how to proceed.

Next Steps = getting the poles in the ground and the signs up.

Hi Sophia, Brooke, Delaney, and Jayde:

I hope you’re doing well! Please take 5 minutes to answer these questions for the Silver Award paperwork, then we can get credit for all the hard work! We just need a short response to each question.

Our application for the Silver Award will detail two of our completed projects:

1. Bird feeder (Cassidy/Jade)
2. Bird boxes (entire troop)

Thanks!

Take care,

Liz
