Recentlygot meself a second-hand Nokia 7 Plus, which is still a pretty decent gizmo despite being close to 6 years old model. The problem is that I cannot find USB drivers to work under Win10 x32/x64 editions; as well as WinXP x32/x64 editions.
HMD Global is making Nokia branded phones for a few years now. However, there is still no official webpage at Nokia.com from where you can download device drivers. On most Nokia phones, the Nokia USB drivers come bundled. A CD ROM will show on the computer when you connect the phone. The Nokia Phone USB Driver installer rests in that read-only disk. However, there are situations when the phone is not working properly (for example: Stuck on Download Mode) and you need the drivers to connect the phone to a PC and try to fix it.
Other than that, the flashing tool (OST LA) used by Nokia Mobile Care also comes with USB Drivers installer (obviously). In this post, I am including the different ways by which you can acquire the drivers and install them on your Windows PC. The driver package includes ADB as well as the Fastboot drivers. Windows Device Manager will show HMD Global as the device manufacturer when you check the properties of the ADB or Fastboot device.
If your phone is not working properly, then this is the simplest option to install only the Nokia USB Drivers without any bloat. I have copied and zipped the Drivers Disk as provided by Nokia on my Nokia 8.1. You can download it from the link below. Thereafter unzip it using 7zip or any other archive manager and run the setup to install the USB Drivers.
The installer will install Nokia Drivers in less than 10 seconds. Note that you might need to go to Windows Device manager to still manually choose the driver for the first time. It will happen automatically in the future.
If your Nokia phone is working properly, then you do not need to download anything. Simply connect your powered-on phone to your computer. Instantly or within a few seconds, your PC will show a CD-ROM drive. Open it and run the setup to begin the installation of Nokia phone USB Drivers.
As I previously mentioned, the OST LA (short for Online Service Tool) also comes with the Nokia driver installer. OST LA will install 2 additional drivers in addition to the Nokia USB Driver. The package includes:
The M and F driver packages are for advanced recovery options. For example, if the phone is in the MediaTek Preloader mode or Qualcomm 9008 mode. Basically, the M and F packages include the emergency flash drivers from MediaTek and Qualcomm. You will not need these in most circumstances, so, you can uninstall these after the Nokia USB Driver has finished installing.
Nokia USB Driver V1.4.0 allows you to connect your Nokia Smartphone and Tablets to the Windows Computer and transfer data between the computer and the Nokia device. Apart from this, it also allows you to sync data between the device and the computer, back up your existing data on the computer or restore the data on the Nokia device.
You can install the Nokia USB Driver V1.4.0 by downloading the .exe file and installing the driver on the computer. The installation process is quite similar to the standard Windows Application. You can follow the How to install the Nokia Driver page to install the drivers correctly. Is Nokia USB Driver V1.4.0 Free?Yes. The Nokia USB Driver V1.4.0 is 100% free since the Nokia community officially releases it for Nokia Mobile users.

so i searched the internet for it and found that it was like a predecessor to CA-42 and it does the same thing CA-42 does. So i downloaded the drivers for PL2303 and when connected, my PC shows 'Prolific USB to Serial device' connected. i checked in the device manager and it was there and was assigned COM1. I changed the communications port to COM1 to make my nokia cable a communication port (i have to make COM4 the communication port when i use a serial port) shown here-
Now I cut the cable near the phone connector end and found the TX, RX and the ground wires. So it is now like my half arduino cable (I know two more wires are missing in it but i don't need them). I found this article- with which one could program picaxe with arduino cable. So i made that HEX inverter circuit and double checked all the connections, started picaxe program editor and selected COM1 in the ports setting.
I tried everything possible at my level- checking all the connections,TX,RX and ground wires of the cable etc but nothing good. I am thinking the problem is with the cable being not supported by picaxe program editor, or maybe i am doing something wrong Please help me getting the cable working!
I finnaly got it working! I think the problem was in drivers as when i downloaded and installed the drivers for the original picaxe USB to serial hub from picaxe website and somehow it started working! here is how it looks like-
The USB driver plays an essential role in mobile phones, and it acts as a bridge between two devices. You can use Nokia USB driver to connect Nokia phone to a computer to transfer files like contacts, media files, documents, backups, etc. It also helps users to flash stock firmware on Nokia phones using the Nokia OST tool. Basically, Nokia USB Driver is a medium between a computer and a Nokia phone or say between two devices. You can download the latest drivers for your Nokia phone from the list in the download section.
You can easily install the all-in-one Nokia USB Driver which is in the older version. But to install the latest version, the method is different. The latest Nokia USB Driver does not come with an executable file, which means you cannot directly install the driver. Follow the installation procedure given below.
You can install the Nokia USB driver by adding it as the legacy hardware. First open Device Manager on your computer then click on Action > Add legacy hardware and then select the android_winusb.inf file.

The Internet (or internet)[a] is the global system of interconnected computer networks that uses the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP)[b] to communicate between networks and devices. It is a network of networks that consists of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the interlinked ...
Find the sales branch of the manufacturer and ask for a sample (free). Find the support branch and ask for documentation for the free sample. Careful... I tried buying one "part" this way and the company almost billed me for 10,000 units (their minimum "1" size). They just do not have the time to deal with individual sales.
I have a Nokia G-2425G-A provided by my ISP(Airtel) which is ONT+Wireless Router. The stock firmware provided with it is not good(in terms of features and options... for eg: No OpenVPN support) and also the settings like PPPoE configuration are locked and SSH access to the filesystem is not supported...
The SSH access to the linux filesystem was blocked but I managed to gain SSH root access by doing a config hack ( -nokia-g240wa.html) . So I can get the required info(even files) for building the firmware for it via SSH. The stock firmware use Linux 3.18.21(via SSH)
The ONT specs and other info is also available at -Manual/Users-Manual-4968412
The model name at fccid is same but somethings like the number of USB and POTS ports, ram and flash storage info differ from the User manual and photos (user manual says there are 2 USB and POTS port but mine has only 1 port each)
If you use a USB data cable as the link between the PC and mobile phone, you need to install the Windows driver for the USB data cable. Most mobile phones come with a CD which contains a bunch of software, including the driver that you want and a software suite that you may not be interested in. But the truth is that it's all or nothing: There's no way to install just the driver only.
You need to repeat these steps several times for USB WMC Data Modem, USB WMC Modem, USB WMC OBEX Interface, USB WMC Device Management, USB Ethernet Emulation (WDM) and USB Ethernet Emulation (for Networking Device). Once it's done, the phone will get power from the cable and the battery will be charged.
These are the drivers (ewusbmdm.sys) for Huawei EC321 and EC325. They come from the "Huawei Mobile Connect" package.
There is no setup file for them. Please extract them to your hard drive and select them when you are prompted for the location of the driver.
Tethering. WIN 10-Nokia 2.3 (TA-1211) -Audimobile networkWhen I try to Hot-spot/tether my Nokia Android smartphone, which uses Audi-mobile network (Telstra) to my my WIN 10 laptop, fully updated, it connects but does not give me access to the internet. I have contacted Nokia who refer me to Audi-mobile. Audi-mobile refer me to Nokia! So I just get the runaround from both companies!I suspect that I need to modify or add a APN but can get no real answers so far.I can fully connect my Nokia g60 5G though, but that uses WPA3 whereas the Nokia 2.3 uses WPA2 I believe the drivers in WIN 10 can use either WPA2 or 3As a last desperate effort can anyone assist?
I'm not sure if this should be in tech support or "Other Devices". I'm trying to recover some pictures from a Nokia 3220 belonging to my wife's aunt (she's 87). A couple of the pictures are of her husband who passed away a couple of years ago. I'm struggling to figure out how to transfer them - either to my Mac or iPhone - but here's what i've tried to do so far to get hold of them...
