Theonline entrance exams consist of an online written part, and an oral interview through Skype/Zoom. The written part is taken on the university exam platform, which is only accessible through individual links sent out to each examinee before the exam by email.

The written exam includes multiple choice questions in Biology (20 questions), Chemistry (20 questions), General English (40 questions) and Medical English (20 questions). The duration of the exam is 1 hour and 40 minutes. You are not required to use your microphone or camera during the online written exam.

The oral part is a 20-30 minute personal interview with a university professor about medicine related questions and motivation by Skype or Zoom. For this, you need to contact our Skype ID provided before the exam by email. You need to have a camera and microphone for your exam.

Attention! You are not allowed to use any kind of electronic devices during the exam, except for a simple calculator. The use of mobile phones, smart watches or any other electronic devices during any part of the examination is strictly prohibited. Deliberate disruption of the online exam is considered to be cheating. Any violation of this rule may result in the cancellation of your exam scores, dismissal from the exam or banning from future exam opportunities. You must be alone in your room at both exam parts, and maintain constant eye contact with the examiner during the oral interview.

There are 2 options provided to take the written part of the entrance exam. One option is the paper-based written exam organized by the Medical School and/or its authorized representative agencies in Pcs, Budapest and abroad, or an online written exam performed at our examination platform.

The other option to take the written part of the exam is the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT). Since the application period of 2018, the University of Pcs Medical School accepts the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) for applications to its General Medicine and Dentistry programs as the written part of the entrance exam. Please note that the possibility of taking the BMAT written test is only open by the end of 2023, as the BMAT test sessions will cease to be available as of 2024.

BMAT is an admissions test that assesses your ability to apply scientific and mathematical knowledge, as well as problem solving, critical thinking and written communication skills that are essential to university-level study. It gives you the chance to stand out from the crowd and show your potential to succeed on a demanding, medical degree.

BMAT is a 2-hour pen-and-paper test, which consists of three sections and is taken in English. Sections 1 and 2 are multiple-choice, and Section 3 is a writing task. Find out more about the format of the test on the Admissions Testing website.

Admissions Testing provide a wide range of free preparation materials to help you get ready for BMAT including past papers, the test specification and live chats. You can find everything you need on the BMAT preparation webpage.

The English Program Committee of the Medical School reserves the right to evaluate the results of the applicants at the BMAT exam, and to decide on the acceptance of the BMAT. Based on your performance at the BMAT, after the evaluation of the results, the Committee may decide either to exempt the applicant from taking the written exam of the Medical School (in this case the applicant just has to take an oral interview somewhere), or to exempt the applicant from taking the complex entrance exam altogether (no need to complete the written test and oral interview at all), or not to accept the BMAT at all (the applicant has to take the whole complex entrance exam of the Medical School).

The oral part is a 20-30 minute personal interview with a university professor about medicine related questions and motivation. The oral interview is obligatory, can be taken in Pcs, in Budapest or abroad at an entrance exam organized by the Medical School and/or its authorized representative agencies. Please note that taking the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) may not be sufficient to be able to get accepted to our Medical School! The English Program Committee has the right to decide on the acceptance of the results.

Please note that in case of an unsuccessful entrance exam you can only repeat it twice! Please note that you need to complete and submit an online application only once, even in case of a repeated entrance exam, only before the first exam trial. We will record your maximum 3 exam chances under the same application number in our system.

The use of mobile phones, smart watches or any other electronic devices during any part of the examination is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this rule may result in the cancellation of your exam scores, dismissal from the exam or banning from future exam opportunities.

There is only an oral exam interview for the Pharmacy (PharmD) Program as well as for the Biotechnology BSc and MSc Programs. The oral exam is a 20-30 minute personal interview with a university professor about medicine related questions and motivation by Skype or Zoom. For this, you need to contact our Skype ID provided before the exam by email. You need to have a camera and microphone for your exam. The entrance exam interview can be taken between 1st March and 12th July 2024.

The interview can be taken at an exam occasion organized by the English Admissions and Student Service Office of the University of Pcs Medical School. For this, you need to register two weeks in advance by email and by paying the 250 USD entrance exam fee.

The Master's program in Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology consists of two programs. Please choose one of them for your application.

Master's Course (Integrated MS/PhD Program) has been set up for students who wish to obtain a Doctor degree after Master's program. Program students are given special opportunities to focus on cutting-edge research and they will receive preferential treatment in the process of acquiring scholarships. Program students will be required to sit a Qualifying Examination (QE) one year after admission. The QE will determine which students will be offered a place on the Integrated MS/PhD Program as doctoral students (Students need procedures to step up to the doctoral program). The applicants are advised to discuss further details, such as application timelines and require documents, with expected supervisors before applying.

Master's Course (Master's Program) is a program aimed at obtaining a Master's degree through two years of graduate study and research activities. Graduates who have completed the Master's Program go on to a doctoral course or find a job in chemical companies or government offices.
