Question:
How do I import a Revit model into Tekla Structures? The model file that someone sent me is in .rvt format.

Answer:
Since Tekla Structures 2019 you have the possibility to use the following Warehouse extension to import *.rvt files directly into Tekla Structures model as reference model:
Tekla Structures plug-in for Revit as a reference model using Teigha technology

With Tekla Structures version 2018i or older you cannot import .rvt files. The Revit model needs first to be exported as an IFC file. The IFC can then be imported in Tekla Structures as a reference model, and the reference model objects can be converted to native Tekla Structures objects. This method does not require installing additional extensions.

At the end of the following article there is a link to a document that gives tips for Revit users for better Tekla Structures workflow:

So far we are having a lot of troubles with the object conversion. The main issue is with hollowcore slabs and some other objects. Using the OOTB export to IFC from tekla the slab come in too skinny in a lot of areas. and some other missing elements.

Using the link mention in this discussion we had similar problems but the hollowcore comes in too short. The width is fine but the length doesn't vary per location. They seem to come in with the same length. Plus some slabs come in in the wrong elevation or location. Some object seem to disapear.

i have convert an chs pipe from tekla to grasshopper and need to model it in revit as direct shape but shape of pipe not smooth like normal in tekla or like as native object model in revit how i can solve it ?

i have large model in tekla structure and client need to convert all model to revit for lod 300 and i try to convert it by direct shape and add all paramters he will need it from tekla to revit so he can read data from model revit and complete project for hvac and mep and arch
