People are starting to realize that the network infrastructure is key to economic survival. Illinois has to move on this and not just hand out $100,000,000 checks to companies to try to keep them here. A $100,000,000 could have wired up Decatur with fiber to the premise for just about everyone. (based on Fort Wayne's / Verizon's investment several years ago of about $120,000,000 for a population of 250,000. Decatur is about 70,000)

Keep pushing Gigabit to the end-user. That is the baseline speed we need (especially in handheld Smartphones).
