As Director of Gastilworks Planning & Design, he leads community-focused urban design and strategic development projects. Formerly Pittsburgh’s City Planning Director, he spearheaded major initiatives in sustainability, accessible housing, and riverfront revitalization. Raymond has held key roles in Seattle and NYC planning departments, and served as Director of the Remaking Cities Institute at Carnegie Mellon. His expertise spans transit-oriented development, mixed-use districts, and urban waterfronts. An author of influential works including Beyond the Edge, he is President-Elect of the Puget Sound Section of the APA Washington Chapter and Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington.
