Starting with the release of the December 18 2007 security bulletin, Adobe discontinued support of Adobe Flash Player 7 and no longer provided security updates. Adobe recommends that all Flash Player users to update to the most recent version of the player through the Flash Player Download Center.
If you use an unsupported configuration for the latest player or want to continue to use Adobe Flash Player 7, you can find the archived installers in Archived Flash Player versions. The information in this TechNote continues to apply to all developers testing Flash Player 7.

The general uninstaller (uninstall_flash_player.exe) is designed to work with the new version-checking logic, and you can use it to remove Flash Player from the system. (This uninstaller is available in Uninstall Flash Player Windows.) This unistaller is a general-purpose uninstaller that you can use to remove any version of Flash Player. If you want to switch from a later to an earlier version of Flash Player, Adobe recommends that you completely remove one version before you install another.
The default behavior of UninstFl.exe is to prompt the user, unlock the control, unregister the control, and then delete the OCX, GetFlash.exe, and GetFlash.exe.manifest. UninstFl.exe does not remove itself and cannot remove files that are in use. UninstFl.exe only works on the new locking controls. Older controls do not contain the registration logic to lock or unlock the file and the UninstFl.exe doesn't recognize them for deletion. When run on older controls, GetFlash.exe and GetFlash.exe.manifest are deleted, but the control remains. To ensure complete removal of Flash Player, run the general uninstaller, uninstall_flash_player.exe. (This uninstaller is available in Uninstall Flash Player Windows.)

Respectfully, my HP Deskjet F4172 printer needs Adobe flash player (AFP) in connection with its in particular HP Digital Imaging Monitor and HP Solution Center and it does not work without AFP, regarding that Adobe Flash Player will not be suppoeted anymore by end December, 2020, what is the alternative for AFP? Hp Support does not answer clearly, thanking you.
Strange that when sonebody makes a post, the person is not informed be the email!!!! and I saw the above post accidentally, however, many hp printer like that one of mine, HP Deskjet f 4172, which are old over 10 years ago, their Solution Center works only with Adobe flash player and without flash palyer it does not work and the printer becomes blind, and before you become "super weird!!!" it is better to read and get more information before posting as above, please refer to HP Community in order to see the above problem, which does not respon to the problem, perhaps according to the HP company the people are capitalist!!! and the period per period they must pay for a new printer, in addition to, unistalling the old printer and installing the new printer in many cases lead to damage the window update that I have such experience, reinstalling the window was useless, that I had to pay to a expert to solve the issue
You can also check your installation disk for any file like flash.exe or FlashPla.exe or such, and copy it into your HP installation files, but to the correct sub-directory. Mine is C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\Help\player\FlashPla.exe.
What I am not allowed to say (I have been censored many times for this), is to delete all remnants of flash and then search the web for a Flash player older than 4 or 5 years and install that. That's what I did. I installed Flash version 10.1 and everything works perfectly.
I have been looking for a way to install the debug version of flashplayer for ie11 or the newer microsoft edge browser under Windows 10. AS far as I understand, the flash plugin is now embedded with both browsers, so there is no way to update it to a debug version.Using the debug version installer from adobe site (active x version), gives me a pop-up stating that I already have the latest verion which is true, but there seems to be no way to change my version with the debug one.AS anyone succeed in using the debug version of flash undex one of these browser on Windows 10 (64bits)?

I found a complete download at the Adobe Flash Player Support Center. Under the Flash Player 10 section I downloaded the Adobe Flash Player 10 Update for Windows and Macintosh (ZIP, 44 MB) and installed the plugin from flash_player_update3_flash10.zip\Players\Release\Install Flash Player 10 Plugin.exe.

If you're using the Chrome/Chromium browser, it uses it's own Pepper flash player that is currently the same version for Windows & Mac & Linux. Chrome has it already embedded, while Chromium requires a package install.

Fresh Player Plugin is just a wrapper for libpepflashplayer.so so it needs this file which is bundled with Google Chrome. The easiest way to get this file is to simply install Google Chrome Stable - download it from here, then install it. That's it!
At some time or other there had been a problem that had me cursing Adobe. Apt had at least two versions of an adobe flash installer and downloader. There seemed to be no documentation... And some window kept popping up.. etc. But really, just uninstall from the Software Centre and then reinstall, and all the spanners that seem inherent in Adobe's awkward-squad install just disappear.
