Hey all,
I've gotten some time-sensitive questions about these workshops. They start next week. I figured others might have the same questions so I'm writing the group.
It is not required that you take the Time Series Analysis one before the gimme one. That said, it would help. The Time Series one provides a foundation for considering time series data in general. We also discuss how to process your data to be used in time series analysis (including gimme). Here we discuss things like interpolation, missing data approaches, trends, stationarity tests, etc.
The gimme workshop does not spend as much time discussing details of processing the data. This is a stand-alone workshop for those who already know these concepts or how to get their data in good shape. We do discuss some basic preprocessing, and code for doing it on your own is shared. Due to time constraints, we won't go through the code in the gimme workshop.
Hope this helps! More information will be sent out to those who have signed up soon.
Best,
Katie
