version of curl for latest gimme

Hi Katie et al,

I am working in an HPC server setting, and the developers at Ohio Supercomputer recently uploaded a module for curl. We are running into a load error for curl.so that prevents the gimme library from loading in R Studio. We are currently running curl/8.8.0. Do you have any advice on how to load the package here?

I have attached the error message after calling the library function. To confirm, the package is successfully installed and the problem is with loading.

Hi Katrina, 

I haven't heard of this problem. I bet the IT people at your institute would be more helpful than me. Maybe someone on this listserve has encountered and overcome this? We haven't had a problem with servers at UNC.
