We are pleased to announce the release of 8 new explorable data sets.
You can find all these at the Time Machine website: http://timemachine.gigapan.org/

In addition to new data sets, the viewer has been updated with some
new features:

1. The ability to display actual image capture times.
2. The ability to switch between layers in a data set. Particularly
useful for the Solar Dynamics Observatory time machine.
3. The ability to automatically auto-repeat playback of a time
machine. Convenient for data sets that are short in length and
cyclical in nature.
4. Various bug fixes.

In related news, Scientific American released a web article about this
today. It's an interesting read and you can find it here:

We have many more data sets in the pipeline, in addition to new
features planned. One of these features is support for the Firefox web
browser. More to come on that sometime at the end of this year.

Thanks,
The GigaPan Time Machine Team
