I love this movie! I have the DVD with english subtitles, yes my urdu is close to nothing. I am french by the way, and I live in Delhi for 15 years. A proof of the exchange of culture, I have taken some of indian ways; This to fill the cultural discussion regarding Valentine's day.
I just came across your blog, and I will come back.

L.O.V.E. I'm surrounded by it and all things weddings and I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm a Gold Coast marriage celebrant who travels from Tamborine Mountain to Toowoomba, Byron and beyond to legally marry couples anywhere at any time in Australia. I've been up in a hot air balloon marrying a gorgeous couple and within days, bringing another couple together on a bright sunny Christmas morning. I've recently returned from an amazing trip travelling through India and of course, we stopped at the world's most recognisable monument to love - the Taj Mahal, not once but three times. I happily spend my days dressing up, sharing in very special, intimate moments and getting to travel. I'm well known in the industry and have a reputation for impeccable and incomparable service. There's a reason why I've married so many wedding co-ordinators or get called upon at short notice to step in. If you want to see me in action doing just that - watch the video link below. I was called upon at very short notice by the couples wonderful photographer Toni from Doe & Deer Photography to help and my very first complete read through of the ceremony script was right there and then, as I delivered it. I was emailed a copy, I printed it out checked the legalities and jumped in the car (I hurriedly got ready while I waited for the paperwork to be sent through). I didn't write it but after checking the couples ID again to cover legalities, it was show time! It's another reason to always choose professionals (and thank you so much to Geoff from Motion Art Weddings) who also answered the call to help but you be the judge if I did a great job or not.

The Taj Mahal was built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute to his 3rd wife Mumtaz Mahal. He loved his wife so much that when she died he decided the only way to show off his love to her is to build a monument that will stand the test of time. It took 22 years to complete the monument. It would be no exaggeration to say that the Taj Mahal is the most popular tourist destination in India, with as many as 4 million people visiting the structure every year.

The 120-mile drive to Agra from Delhi took a knuckle-gripping five hours each way, as our hired driver dodged people, animals and overloaded trucks, honking the whole way. That afternoon, the Taj Mahal was an oasis of calm and beauty. No photo does it justice, partly because no photo shows all of it. The white marble monument overlooking the Yamuna River is flanked by two lovely, symmetrical red palaces that would be worthy sights on their own.

D se Dil, D se Delhi (read: Dilli). Such is the charm of the city that breathes love in every nook and corner of the city. Perhaps the reason being that Delhi boasts some of the most gorgeous architectural monuments from the Mughal era which never fail to make a presence in Bollywood movies. If Delhi is your first love, you will relate to these Bollywood dialogues that best describe dilwalon ki Dilli.

(Offered as SPAN 384 and EUST 233.) This panoramic, interdisciplinary course will explore the concept of love as it changes epoch to epoch and culture to culture.
