Did you see Tron? It's okay if you didn't but that helped start the trend of racing neon bikes through virtual worlds like in Rider Online. It's all about riding a stylish cyberpunk bike fast while pulling off some cool techniques. Even though it may be in a digital world, the threat of crashing is still very real. It's unknown if there's a little virtual rider in the bike or if the bike is just a remote-controlled neon vehicle. No matter what it is, digital courses can be dangerous and you'll need to approach them with finesses and technique. If you don't be prepared to refresh your rider into different courses awaiting your skills.
Whether it's a real motorcycle or one from Tron, they still require a good driver behind the wheel since they can be difficult to control. Even though this game limits you to a certain plane, it provides a strong challenge. The controls and actual movement can be very sensitive so it's all about finding that sweet spot when it comes to controlling these bikes. Once you find that sweet spot, you can experiment with speed and take more risks when it comes to doing tricks. You might need to crash over and over again to get better, so wear a helmet.
Rider Online is a 2D motorcycle riding game taking place in a virtual neon world where you ride using only the mouse. Hold the Left Mouse Button on any part of the screen to start accelerating. When the bike is in the air, you hold the Left Mouse Button to initiate a backflip and adjust your landing angle. The goal is to get as far along the current course as possible while aiming for a high score and collecting crystals.
The courses are frequently broken up into a series of slopes, ramps, loops, and other arrangements that you need to ride the bike through. There will also be traps like saws and speed bumps to avoid. If the bike ever touches a trap or the top part of it comes into contact with a solid object or surface, the bike will be destroyed and you'll have to restart. The crystals that you collect on rides will be saved and you can use them to unlock random bikes in the main menu.
The motorcycle is extremely sensitive and builds speed extremely fast once you hold down the button. You need to be careful when going fast up steep ramps since it can launch the bike out of frame leaving you to guess its current orientation. You need to use speed management to make it through the courses without losing momentum with stability being your main priority.

Motorcycle permit holders who complete a 3-wheel basic course will earn a motorcycle license with a restriction prohibiting the operation a of 2-wheel motorcycle.
Our Third-Party Training Providers offer a variety of motorcycle safety courses. Please ensure you have all the required safety gear before participating in one of our courses. A course confirmation email will be sent after a participant signs up for a course, and the confirmation email also lists the required gear to participate in the course. Below are descriptions of the courses currently offered:
The BRC is the starting place for a novice rider or someone that has not been through any training to learn the basic fundamentals of operating a motorcycle safely. Motorcycles are provided. This IS a licensing course.

The eBRT Basic Rider Training Online Classroom and In-Person Skills Training Course is designed for the novice rider with no (or limited) street-riding experience or for the person coming back to motorcycling after a period of time off. It is recommended you allow at least two days prior to your in-person skills training session to successfully complete the eBRT Online Classroom material. It may take you up to 4-6 hours to complete the eBRT Online Classroom coursework. Individuals may need more or less time depending upon their ability, and time available to them to complete the required assignments. Another thing to consider, some people like to go through the eBRT more than once prior to their first in-person skills training session. Please allow yourself sufficient time to complete all that is required in the eBRT Online Classroom because you will NOT be allowed to participate in your in-person skills training if you have not successfully completed the eBRT online course. Furthermore, no refunds or free rescheduling will be available for failure to complete the eBRT prior to your first in-person skills training session.
The in-person skills training sessions conducted on program motorcycles include roughly 9.25 hours of training divided between 2 - 3 sessions. The sessions may be run mornings, afternoons, or evenings. You choose the schedule that works best for you.
If you are looking to obtain your motorcycle operator endorsement, successful completion of this course will waive South Dakota's skills test and written test requirements if the endorsement is added within one year of passing the course.
