So I have been needing to use the photoshop app for a while but all of a sudden it will not open. it says it is loading, but just stops loading after about 20 seconds. I have used it before and am on windows 10. I have tried some of the basic fixes ( opening task mangager and closing backround adobe, clearing prefrences, restarting my computer ect.). could someone help me so I can go back to using it?

Medha (or to whom it may concern?),

I'm having the same issue with 2020 loading. Tried what you suggested and got nothing. Tried the chat support only to wait hours (multiple days) with no help.

Any help will be appreciated.

Could you please check if any instances of Photoshop Elements are running in the Task Manager? If so, then please close them and then try launching the 'PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe' by double-clicking on it.

Finally: are you using the latest version of your OS< with all the security patches and such? I mean.. if you're using this on XP, Vista or Windows 7 then you're probably pretty much on your own because there are a lot of possible causes. Otherwise....

When all else fails you could try to move your settings out of the way to see if that helps. So... open a file manager, go to %APPDATA%, find the 'Adobe' directory and either rename the whole directory or rename the 'Elements' folder invite. Then try to start the program again to see if this changes anything.

(Sorry this awnser took so long I didn't get a notification) I have tried this, When I click it, my cursor shows that it is loading for about a second, then it just stops and nothing happens. Does it matter that I moved it to a different drive because my main drive didn't have enough space at the time? (I have more than 15 gigs now in the main drive.)

I've been very inactive on this community as of late and the main reason for that was this mess. I could basically (or re-install) Photoshop Elements 2020 every single week because it refused to start (it would stall as the OP mentioned). Eventually things changed (this was a several weeks ago) and I no longer had issues with PSE freezing to start, but now it would constantly crash whenever I tried to shut it down. Forget about a prompt asking you to save, instead you got the crash form. I sent a few reports in but eventually stopped bothering because it became "normal". Needless to say that this wasn't helping my motivation to participate very much (I live by "If you don't have anything nice to say then maybe not say anything at all? (except where it's ontopic of course)) and I also wasn't so happy with my purchase anymore. Not necessarily negative, but...

BUT... they fixed it. I got a PSE update which was more than a week ago and right now I get to enjoy the whole suite again. It starts normally, I no longer had any crashes during shutdown since the update and I finally get to enjoy myself using this software again. Although I'm not too positive about the time it took to fix all this I am happy to see that it finally happened and well... My admiration for the software itself never changed; I (still) think working with PSE is amazing. I used Gimp before but I'm not looking back.

I am having the exact problem launching the Photo Editor. I purchased and downloaded PSE 2020 a few months ago from Adobe online but wanted to take a PSE course before trying to use it. Now, when I try to open it up, you can see that it it trying to but then stops. During that process, a small window opens up with an offer to try the 1-month free trial. I don't want that....I have already purchased the program!! If I open Organizer and try to connect to the Editor from that page, it does the same thing.

Still looking for help in launching the Photoshop Elements Photo Editor & Video Editor. The Organizer opens. I read that there is an update.available. Anyone know where I can get this? Cannot seem to get a response from any Adobe "tech folks". Have spent hours and hours resolving this with no luck.

Drberinstallieren bringt keine nderung.

I too am having the same problem. I am using PSE 2020 Premium in Win 10 and a Dell Inspiron 5000 series 1 year old computer. Elements Editor will not load. I tried to go to PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and nothing happened. I need some help and advice.

I haven't used it for a while and after reading this forum, I opened my PSE 2020 editor, it's spinning and nothing happened. They srcewed it up to force you to buy a cloud plan. This is bad practice. CEO wants more bonuses on profit.

I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements yesterday directly from Adobe and installed it. I'm running a Macbook Air (2018 model) with 16GB RAM and approx 200GB free SSD hard drive space. It's running Mac OSX 10.15.2. When I try to launch Photoshop Elements, I get a screen telling me Adobe Sign-in required. I'll enter my Adobe username and password, a green check will appear next to the password which I assumes is telling me my credentials have been verified and instead of launching, it just goes back to the sign-in required screen. I've tried everything I can think of including changing my Adobe password and verifying that it works in the Adobe website, creating a new Adobe account in the sign-in screen to launch Photoshop Elements, linking my account to my Google account and trying to sign in that way. Rebooting my computer, and un-installing PSE and re-installing it. I found this article for an older version of PSE ( -elements/kb/unable-to-sign-in-photoshop-elements-12-13.html) and tried all the steps, but none of those helped either.

I tried to do a support chat with Adobe yesterday; I initially chatted with an agent, but she said it needed to be referred to a different agent and put me back in the queu; I gave up after waiting in the queue for over 2 hours. I tried to find a phone number to call someone at Adobe (since PSE 2020 is supposed to be supported under phone care), but I can't find the numebr to call. I'm hoping someone here can provide a solution.

I tried Adobe Support again this morning had a much better experience. The support rep (Brian) was great and was able to get the issue fully resolved for me. Not sure what caused the problem, but if anyone else experiences the same issue the work around was to re-download the trial version of Adobe PSE 2020 that allows you to activate with serial number instead of signing in ( -install/kb/photoshop-elements-downloads.html). Once it was downloaded and installed, ins

4. I entered the password for my Adobe account. What I couldn't get a screenshot of here was after entering the password and pressing the Continue button, a green check mark showed up next to the password which I would think means my credentials have been verified.

Between yesterday and today, I've tried every option there is available on those screens accept continuing with Facebook . I've tried creating a new account, I've tried linking my original account with Google, I've tried resetting my password, and I've tried Signing in as a different user. None of it makes a difference; I am stuck in this activation sign-in loop.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the chat with Adobe support yesterday. Selected that I needed help with activation. Explained what was going on to the rep. She said she couldn't help me with that nad needed to connect me to technical support. I waited in the chat queu for about 2 hours before I had to give up. I'd love a phone number to try to call someone at Adobe.

I'm working on what I thought was a pretty simple project. I need to just change an address of different project labels from pdf files. I thought all I needed to do was delete the old addresses, write in the new addressses, and then save it as a photoshop pdf.

However, when I do this, the label image and/or the text looks a little blurry. It isn't as clear as the original pdf, and some of the colors in the label image aren't as distinct as well. I've been able to use a feature in Photoshop elements to correct some of the color of the image (I think it's called correct auto tone...). However, I haven't had success with the text after testing out photoshop elements with vairous settings.

What further complicates this job is that the original pdf was aligned with the printer. It seems like when I edit the pdf on elements, it moves a little bit I'm sure this part can be corrected especially if I can get the text to stop being blurry.

I tried using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to edit the pdf, and the text editng was horrible. I just deleted a line of text so I could add the new address, and that action changed other text in other places that I hadn't touched.

I tried using Indesign justg for a little bit; I was able to import the pdf into Indesign. However, I wasn't sure that it would be aligned properly. I saved my test file into a pdf, and it looks sharp. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to edit the pdf in Indesign, so although Indesign outputs sharp pdfs, it didn't help me in this case.

Is there a solution I'm overlooking? I'm not sure that the people that have asked me to do this job have the original files (probably some type of adobe files) that were worked on. I'm going to ask them about that later on today, but the files they asked me to edit were pdfs. I didn't imagine I would run into this much complication.
