Hi there,
in the recent days we published three tools we have been developing for a while now as Open Source software.
Mayu
Mayu provides a set of mechanisms to bootstrap PXE-enabled bare metal nodes that must follow a specific configuration with CoreOS. It sets up fleet meta-data, and patched versions of fleet, etcd, and docker when using Yochu.
Kocho
Kocho provides a set of mechanisms to bootstrap AWS nodes that must follow a specific configuration with CoreOS. It sets up fleet meta-data, and patched versions of fleet, etcd, and docker when using Yochu.
Yochu
provisions already running CoreOS hosts with Docker, etcd, fleet and iptables.
Read more in the Mayu/Yochu blog post linked above.
We are thrilled to open up the results of many, many months of work and very curious to see what you people out there will do with it.
Expect us to release more tools, which together will provide a complete, open source microservices stack.
Feel free to ask questions and discuss topics around our tools here or in #giantswarm in freenode.
