Dear partners,
I am sorry to inform you that I would like to end my partnership with Giantpumpkin club.
Peter Kim
Dear Partners,
I believe we have come to a cross road.
GPC was conceived with the ambition that we might utilize the time we spend together a bit more constructively by sharing and learning about investment. But, if we reflect on the past 26 months, I believe we all have noticed continued deterioration in the interest and engagement by the partners. Each of us have a stake in this partnership, and none of us can be a passive participant. Yet, as we have all seen in the monthly reports, our performance continue to flounder. While we made it clear that making money was secondary objective to learning about investment, we cannot be naïve to discount the fact that we have about $35K of your hard earned money in this partnership.
While the timing of this message may coincide with Peter Kim’s email last night, concerns shared above should not come as a surprise to anyone. As a result, I would like to float the idea of dissolving this partnership. With this message, I do not intend to persuade anyone, but I believe we need to seriously debate this topic.
For reference, attached is the partnership agreement – section 18 states that Termination of Partnership requires 2/3 majority.
The next GPC meeting is schedule to be on coming Saturday (4/25) at Pahngroc’s home at 8:00 pm.
