CalOSHA has many educational materials and resources available. Publications can be downloaded from our webpage or they may be picked up at a local Cal/OSHA office if available. Please check with the local Cal/OSHA office first by calling to ensure the publications are available. California workplace postings are available and can be downloaded at www.dir.ca.gov/wp.asp.

Electronic tools (eTools) with Action Kits are available and consist of various useful multi-media products, such as videos, compact discs (CDs), electronic publications, and presentation material. These educational materials and resources can be found at

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) recognizes the importance of communicating effectively with individuals, including those with limited English proficiency. DIR is making an effort to provide meaningful services for individuals that speak languages other than English.


This publications database includes many of the most recent publications of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The database, however, is not complete. Additional publications are added on a continual basis.

PDQ Cancer Information for Health Professionals

The PDQ health professional cancer information summaries are part of the comprehensive, evidence-based, up-to-date cancer content made available as a public service of the NCI. Most of the health professional summaries are also available in a patient-focused format.


NCI Fact Sheets

NCI fact sheets address a variety of cancer topics. They are updated and revised based on the latest cancer research. Most fact sheets are written in a question and answer format.


Health Communications Publications

These NCI publications for health professionals cover best practices in planning and implementing programs to communicate health information to a wide range of audiences.

The Beige Book is a Federal Reserve System publication about current economic conditions across the 12 Federal Reserve Districts. It characterizes regional economic conditions and prospects based on a variety of mostly qualitative information, gathered directly from District sources. This summary provides the report from the Eighth District, headquartered in St. Louis.
