All right. Here we go. I submitted the formal proposal. We'll see what they have to say about my ideas.
Here's an eerie thought: Writing the proposal, I discovered that much of my life and interests seem to have led up to writing this memoir. There are an amazing number of parallels between my life and the lives of the people I've been obsessed with over the years. There was an interweaving that I honestly didn't perceive until the readers of Talkbass convinced me to write this book. Maybe it was preordained.
My mother gave me this piece of paper when my first book, In Cold Sweat: Interviews with Really Scary Musicians was published.
Read the seventh sentence. Maybe I was supposed to do this all along.
At any rate, the formal proposal has been submitted. The next step is to see what the publishers have to say.
