Dear friends of Germantown Hope,

Greetings from Germantown! As the summer comes to a close, we want to thank you for your generous gifts to our building fund this spring and summer. Through the kindness of many believers and churches, God has provided $18,000 of the roughly $29,000 remaining on our mortgage for our building at 5029 Wayne Avenue. Thank you for caring for our church and for Germantown through your giving.

Because we have not raised enough funds to repay the mortgage in full, the monthly mortgage bill remains an ongoing expense for the church. As a result, some of the funds raised are being used to make extra mortgage payments, shrinking the amount we owe and will pay in interest; some of the funds are also being used to pay for our monthly building costs. Our goal is to be wise and grateful stewards of everything we have received.

We are continuing to fundraise and hosted an art show in the spring, then sold supper plates of home cooked food in July. A yard sale is coming up later in September (please contact me at mkg...@gmail.com if you would like to contribute gently used items for the sale).

Throughout the weeks, the church space continues to be used for fellowship, teaching, and discipleship. We are so thankful to have a place in which to worship, a kitchen to serve meals from, and classrooms and a front porch where our children and neighbors can come to learn from God's word. We ask for your continued prayers and support as we worship and serve in Germantown.
