The data I collected pointed to my Intel network driver as a possible culprit for my audio issues, so I tried disabling the corresponding network adapter from the network and sharing center, and re-ran the latency test. The results with the network adapter disabled were greatly improved, and I could no longer hear the popping noises when listening to offline audio.

As soon as I re-enable the network adapter the problem returns, and so far the only solution I have is to randomly reboot my system, which I find rather inconvenient, as it also requires me to save all data in all open programs, exit out of everything, and then open it all back up again later.

Thanks for the quick response. I went in and deleted the one phantom adapter that I had (my previous CT adapter). I then uninstalled the I210-T1 adapter and rebooted. I dont have any VLANs or Teams and the instructions did not address the miniport adapters so I left those. When I tried the driver install again I received the same error as above. However, that install did (seem to) reinstall the default I210-T1 driver with an older version. After reconnecting my network, I updated the default driver to the newer version (shown above) via the device manager search for a Updated version function.

I've got an Intel NUC D34010WYKH with a sudden network adapter problem that I'm trying to solve. The small company I work for currently has two of these boxes with identical hardware in them, and one of them has been in use for several months by one of our work at home employees here in town, and it has has had no issues. The second one was deployed a month ago, and developed the problem just this morning. Unfortunately for me, this user is a contract employee on the other side of the country.

The employee normally leaves the machine on overnight, but this morning when she went to unlock it, it had apparently crashed. She held down the power button to get it to start up again, and after going through the Windows 7 failed to shut down properly procedures, she was able to log in again. However, the network adapter will no longer start.

Thanks for the response. The network adapter was recognized in Device Manager with the yellow exclamation mark; it does not list a Local Area Connection in Network Connections. I did not have her attempt to get into the BIOS.

So it sounds like you maybe have a plan moving forward, but I was having an issue with the network adapter where the d34010wyk was showing the ethernet cable was unplugged when it was not. Updating the lan driver to the version that came out 8/15/14 fixed it.

the photo shows the error message that pops up when i try to download the intel network drivers which tells me to download the intel ethernet driver package which i found but when i download that it gives me the same error.

so in device manager i dont have a ethernet adapter anywhere under device manager. and yes when i first went to download my drivers i went to my specific manufactures webpage and went under my specific motherboard and went from there but since it wasnt working i went to intel to download the drivers that the ones from MSI told me to download but it still didnt work

My issue may or may not be related to the (2) in the name, but I'm hoping someone here can help. I'm running an Asus X299-A system with its Intel Network Adapter. I'm running Win10 64-bit and I've updated the LAN driver to the latest I can find, v22.9.16.0. Like others here, my device shown in Device Manager contains the (2). I can live with the unexplained (2) in the name, but I'm pulling my hair out over an intermittent problem with connection on boot: sometimes -- rarely I admit, but often enough to have me looking for an answer -- I find at logon that I can connect to only a few websites and others are unavailable. I've learned from experience that at this point I need to look at my network connection which will now be named "Network 2" instead of the normal "Network." With that confirmed, I've learned to go into Device Manager, look under Network Adapters, uninstall the Intel Ethernet Connection (2), open Action/Scan for Hardware Changes, and with the scan complete I will have my "Network" connection back and functioning normally without the "2." This happens once every 20 boots or so, and I have no idea what to do about it. As I'm grasping at straws, I'm wondering if the "(2)" in the network adapter's name can be confusing the LAN driver as it tries to make a connection at boot? Maybe? Any other ideas? Thanks.

The Intel X550 10GBASE-T Adapter is a low cost, low power 10 GbE performance adapter suitable for all data center applications. With support for standard CAT 6a cabling with RJ45 connectors, the X550 offers a low barrier of entry to 10 Gb...

Kick up the speed with the Intel Ethernet Network Adapter XL710. This advanced adapter model offers a common architecture, greater intelligence and performance, and flexibility and scalability for virtualized infrastructures.

The Intel XL710 Dual Port 40G QSFP+Low Profile Ethernet is validated and optimized on Intel Xeon processors. It is the best choice for virtualized servers, providing advanced features including Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) and Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) to deliver amazing performance. It is built to enable network virtualization and network functions virtualization. It is designed to support demanding workloads for enterprise, cloud, and telecommunication service providers and data centers. Intel is the #1 Ethernet vendor- having shipped over 1 billion Ethernet ports.

Caution: Only experienced network administrators should force speed and duplexor change autonegotiation advertising manually. The settings at the switch mustalways match the adapter settings. Adapter performance may suffer or youradapter may not operate if you configure the adapter differently from yourswitch.

"No Network Adapters No network adapters were detected. Either no network adapters are physically connected to the system, or a suitable driver could not be located. A third party driver may be required. Ensure that there is at least one network adapter physically connected to the system before attempting installation. If the problem persists, consult the VMware Knowledge Base. "

Agreed, having the same issue here as well on hardware, attempting to load but fails. Have similar hardware with different network card and ESXi 6.7 u2 loaded without issue (X550T) but on X710 it's a no go with the "No Network adapter detected" error. I opened a ticket with VMWare as I am fairly new to ESXi, but haven't heard any attempts to fix yet.

Amazon EC2 instances have three different virtual network adapters: VIF, Intel 82599 VF, and Elastic Network Adapter (ENA). For the latest instance types and adapters, see Enhanced networking on Linux and Enable enhanced networking with the Intel 82599 VF interface on Windows instances.

This post expounded by MiniTool shows you the webpage to get the Intel network adapter driver for Win11, a step-by-step guide to install and update the driver, as well as multiple ways to deal with Intel Ethernet drivers Windows 11 related problems.

Intel acquired Barefoot Networks in 2019 in an attempt to expand its presence in the networking portion of the data center. Barefoot Networks designed Ethernet switch chips and software, with a particular focus on programmability and flexibility. "[T]he addition of Barefoot Networks will support our focus on end-to-end cloud networking and infrastructure leadership," read the Intel news release announcing the deal.

The X710 adapter family addresses the demanding needs of the next-generation agile data center by providing unmatched features for both server and network virtualization, flexibility for LAN and SAN networks and proven, reliable performance.
