Subject: Haskell Development Opportunity
To: "Tom.Sch...@ugent.be" <Tom.Sch...@ugent.be>
Hi Tom
I’m a headhunter with a focus on I understand you were appointed the
head of the programming languages group in 2010 so probably wouldn’t
consider leaving your post. I thought your students and you may know
colleagues who would be interested in a commercial opportunity using
Haskell (or other functional programming languages).
This particular position is within a quant development team which
delivers the infrastructure for the quant researchers as well as DSLs
used by other development teams. Approximately half your time would
spent coding in Haskell but you’ll also be dealing with C++ and Unix.
I’ve placed quite a few people in this group and their backgrounds are
quite diverse. They look for really strong programmers with solid
functional programming experience, be it in academia, open source or
commercial environments. Most of the team have PhDs.
I’m keen to find out a bit more about your background and current
situation to see whether this might of interest.
Thanks
James
