Hi

I've installed gheats in a local machine to do some testing and if I
keep it running using the tiles it generates the aspen process keeps
growing. Is there any way to limit the memory the aspen process can
consume? For instance, if it reaches this limit it restarts itself?

thanks,

Aspen itself doesn't have this capability. A brute-force approach would be a cron job that restarts the process every night. I remember doing that with Zope back in the day, restarting it every hour at times.

Have you tracked down at all whether it's an actual leak or just a cache filling up?

Hi

I've migrated my application to the gheat cgi version, so I don't have that problem now. It's slightly slower on startup so I've installed varnish up front to alivate things a bit and now the whole httpd + varnish uses only 30mb vs > 200 of aspen. Given that I'm not very familiar with aspen I'll stick to httpd.

Thanks for the response anyway!
