hi, I am not sure how active this group is however I am a research
assistant working at RIT and I have taking considerable interest in
this group.

I was first made aware of the project VIA http://jjguy.com/heatmap/,
and http://dalelane.co.uk/blog/?p=1325
currently I am working to make a HTML 5 web-app which will ingest a
KML file uploaded to it and produce a heat map. My goal is to draw
conclusions from the heatmap generated from the points in the KML file
and overlay them on a google map. For my research these conclusions
will be geared towards emissions tracking.

I was wondering if there is currently a public code for PHP, and if
not I am willing to create part of the necessary files to progress
this project.

Please give me some feedback soon as development is underway,
also thank you for your time,
Beau

Beau,

I'm not aware of a PHP port, but it would be welcome. Let me know when it's ready and I will link it from the project page. Thanks!
