I use Windows XP

I installed Python 2.7 and PIL. Extracted aspen-0.8 into C:\Python27\ folder. Installed aspen-0.8 through cmd via C:\Python27\aspen-0.8\setup.py install   command.

I don't understand what's written in the installation document :- http://www.zetadev.com/software/gheat/0.2/__/doc/html/installation.html  (How to start aspen program within gheat distribution?)

Can someone explain me the steps?

Thanks in advance..

Dennis,

Is there a Scripts directory at C:\Python27\Scripts? Is there an aspen script in it?

Hello,
Yes, there is a Scripts directory at C:\Python27\Scripts. I am posting you the screenshot of the SCRIPTS folder.
As a matter of fact, yes, there is an aspen script file in it.

Okay, so in cmd, navigate into the gheat directory, and then do:

C:\path\to\gheat> C:\Python27\Scripts\aspen

Make sense?

 Hmm, not really.

I saw this post in this group :-

"Install:
download and install Python 2.7
download and install PIL 1.17
download and extract aspen 0.8 into a folder 'aspen-0.8'
add the python folder into system var 'Path'
open a command window, run 'python setup.py install' in folder
'aspen-0.8'
download and extract gheat
copy the '__' folder and 'example.html' file into 'aspen-0.8\bin'
folder

Start up the server:

run 'python aspen' in folder 'aspen-0.8\bin'

check the url: http:localhost:8080/example.
html"

Could you clarify?
