Happy New Year!

We bring you sincere greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is He who has brought us successfully into 2015. May His name be praised throughout all generations!

Thank you for your faithful partnership throughout the years. Your prayers and gifts have not gone unnoticed by the giver of every good and perfect gift, the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17). He will reward you well!

Our theme for AD 2015 is “EXPERIENCING THE PRESENCE OF GOD. Please find attached our calendar of programs & activities for 2015.

Strategic direction for 2015 includes the following:

·        We will work at empowering and equipping Schools and Community Fellowships to reach out to their communities with the Gospel of Christ.

·        We will also be resourcing and training Community Fellowships to embark on the planting of fellowships in communities without SU fellowships, as part of our grand focus of getting fellowships in every district capital of Ghana.

·        Thirdly, leadership of schools and college groups will be strengthened for effective campus ministry. We shall adopt a two-pronged approach in this venture: ensuring that each school group has at least one committed patron and embarking on an aggressive sponsorship drive to get people to sponsor students to National Leadership Conference (NLC). We are mindful of the critical role of the Christian Teachers’ Fellowships (CTFs) in the attainment of this particular goal and we shall build the capacities of the existing fellowships while we seek to establish new ones.

·        In pursuit of our divine mandate of calling people back to God’s Word and prayer, we shall link up with churches to ensure that the goal of getting Christians to meet God daily is realized. Our conviction in Scripture Union has been that Bible Reading transforms lives and it takes transformed lives to change nations! In other words, we shall work to expand the readership of Bible Reading Notes in churches.

·        Finally, we will be to translate into action what we read as a preamble to our statement of aims, “Working with the Churches…” This is deliberate, for emphasis. We are a service arm of the church. In this regard, we shall deliberately target a number of churches as part of our “100 chapel initiative” to cultivate relationships with them at both the Regional and Area levels.

Please pray with us, that all resources needed for ministry in 2015 will graciously be provided by our God.

This year, “May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.  May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” Psalm 20:1-4 (NIV)

Blessings!
