Dear friends of ActionAid Global Platform,

We hope you are all doing well!

We have started our trainings at the ActionAid Global Platform in Tamale. The busy staff is doing their best to train participants to make positive social change - so far with very positive feedback!

We think you should all benefit from this opportunity, and we would therefore like to encourage you all to participate in our trainings (http://www.globalplatforms.org/ghana/our-trainings). We guarantee you that you will learn, and at the same time have fun - and a good chance to create great ideas with likeminded participants.

There is a limited number of participants for each training, so we urge you to sign up for the trainings asap!

At the moment we would like to draw your attention to the next two trainings:

a. HRBA Youth Foundation

When: June 30- July 4 (one week, Monday to Friday)

Who: Staff and partners who work strategically with ActionAid, and youth who have some prior knowledge about HRBA and programme work

Where: Global Platform in Tamale

Cost: Free (introductory offer) - i.e. training, accommodation, food covered (transportation, per diems etc. is not included)

What: Introducing you to the world of human rights and rights based thinking. We will create links between human rights and development, as well as, human rights and poverty to make human rights something you can use in your everyday civil society activities. To top it all off, you will get participatory techniques you can use for empowerment.

b. Young Women and Leadership

When: July 21- July 25 (one week, Monday to Friday)

Who: People who work with ActionAid, partners or local NGOs on empowering women to achieve their rights

Where: Global Platform in Tamale

Cost: Free (introductory offer) - i.e. training, accommodation, food covered (transportation, per diems etc. is not included)

What: Learn how to capacity build women to achieve their rights! Getting knowledge about major issues like gender, human rights, democracy and social change. Through this understanding, we can give you skills and knowledge of how to challenge unequal power relations, which is a major cause of injustices against women in society.
