Invitation to Radio Governance workshop by SOAS, University of London

Dear everyone,

SOAS Radio in London, a digital social enterprise based at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. They recently contacted  Ghana Youth Environmental Movement (GYEM) to run a workshop for young people in Ghana in partnership with JT Live Radio, Ghana. The theme for the workshop is 'Radio and Governance'.

On behalf of GYEM, I would like to extend the invitation to all individuals and groups interested in the topic to join us on Thursday 17th April, 2014 at 10:00am at the James Town Community Arts Centre for the workshop. JT Live Radio, Ghana, has recently been established by a group of young people in Jamestown to connect members of the community, to celebrate their vibrant arts and culture and to provide training to other young people in communication skills and media. This youth-led station aims to give people a voice and to create young citizen journalists, supporting local people to report on the social issues affecting them in this deprived district of Accra

Governance workshops 

The Centre of African Studies at the University of London has produced a series of podcasts that look at Governance in Africa.
